analogue photographs
Kodaks is a collection of analogue photos taken with popular point-and-shoot cameras from the 1990s and 2000s. Taking pictures with these lightweight and easy to use cameras gives me more freedom to capture spontaneous moments. It is also a perfect getaway from digital photos that usually function only virtually, bringing back contact with the materiality of photography. Thanks to the limited number of photos that can be recorded on film, I relearn well-conceived framing and develop photographic perceptiveness. Loss of quality, accidental overexposure and overlapping frames are forms of time travelling which, through nostalgia, blur the contemporary context of these photographs.
