ZNTK is a series of photos taken on the premises of the bankrupt company ZNTK Poznań. The vast, walled area is located in the city center. I found out about its existence only a few years ago, when I saw several abandoned buildings and a huge metal ZNTK logo from the train window. Later, driven by curiosity, I went to the surroundings of the station to find this spot. Since then, it has become one of my favourite places in Poznań, to which I often go back to take pictures. The impressive industrial architecture is slowly deteriorating, becoming more and more overgrown with lush plants. The contrast of these two worlds combined with the overwhelming silence and emptiness create a unique aura of this place. ZNTK was gaining more and more popularity among walkers, I also have been asked several times how to get there. Unfortunately; several years after the collapse of the enterprise, the 20-hectare area was sold to a developer from Krakow. Much to the dissatisfaction of many Poznań residents complaining about the lack of greenery in the city and the ubiquitous concreteosis, a new residential district is soon to be built there, the visualisations of which leave a lot to be desired. Thus, Poznań will lose a great place for walking in favour of another, debatable investment.
